هما روستا بازیگر با سابقه و مطرح سینما و تئاتر ایران بعد از مبارزه اى چندین ساله با بیمارى سرطان، همزمان با روز تولدش دار فانى را وداع گفت.

این بازیگر توانمند سینما و تئاتر ایران به تاریخ ۴ مهر ماه در آمریکا درگذشت.

هما روستا که طى سال هاى اخیر به دلیل مبارزه با بیمارى سرطان از حضور و نقش آفرینى در عرصه بازیگرى سینما و تئاتر دور بود، آخرین تجربه بازیگرى تئاتر را در سال ٩٢ و با حضور در نمایش «باغ آلبالو» به کارگردانى حسن معجونى تجربه کرد.
وى که همسر زنده یاد حمید سمندریان کارگردان و مدرس مطرح تئاتر ایران بود، در اکثر آثار سمندریان به عنوان بازیگر حضور داشت.

زنده یاد هما روستا علاوه بر بازیگرى تئاتر در زمینه کارگردانى تئاتر نیز فعالیت مى کرد.

وى یکى از بازیگران شناخته شده سینماى ایران بود که در آثاری چون از کرخه تا راین و پرنده کوچک خوشبختى به ایفاى نقش پرداخت.
